Cigarettes Tax

After reading about Malaysian Cigarettes Tax in newspaper today, then I found out every cigarette we smoke the goverment will get RM0.1875, that means every pack of 20's tax fees is RM3.75.
The tax is every 1000's cigarettes RM150.00, no matter what brand is the same tax fees.
Now in the market having a lot of none seen before brand's cigarettes (none tax), example : Virginal Star, Matisse ... selling RM2.50 per pack of 20's.
At 1st I tot that's a fake tobacco inside, someone said it made from some recycle paper with mixing some very low grade tobacco, but from now what have calculated the result is out, I believe the price they are selling this dunno what brand cigarettes is just a low grade tobacco but not mixing with recycle papers, maybe was a local made. Cause after market branded cigarette their actual selling price RM8.20 for 20's. After less tax (RM3.75) only RM4.45. Low grade tobacco selling RM6.70 20's before tax is only RM2.95 and also this haven't deduct the profit of seller and distributors.
For now in Malaysia a lot of citizens willing to choose this none seen brands cigarettes cause now every usual needs in Malaysia prices are non-stop increase, only their salary none increase, the most important price is fuel, once fuel increase everything will follow it, cause everything needs transport and every transport need fuel, next month July our electricity fees will increase 18% again. What a sad news.
But even it was sad we also have to face it, have to live with it.
Now a day mostly everyday you may saw the news of robbery robbing banks, shops etc.
*Easy to be a smoker, but hard to quit from it.
